Dr. Linda Wong began her career in transplantation in 1991, and in 1993 joined the transplant team at the St. Francis Medical Center in Honolulu, where she pioneered liver transplantation in Hawai‘i. She has performed over 200 liver transplants and over 140 kidney transplants as primary surgeon. Dr. Wong has published over 100 articles in medical journals and she has given over 100 presentations. She has special interests in liver, bile duct and pancreatic cancers and has expertise in these areas of surgery. She leads a translational liver cancer research group with the University of Hawaii Cancer Center who have collectively produced numerous articles, presentations and grants. A strong patient advocate, Dr. Wong is extremely dedicated to her patients and has consistently been recognized in Honolulu Magazine’s Best Doctors issue and was honored as Physician of the Year in 2010 by the Healthcare Association of Hawai‘i.

Dr. Wong also serves as Professor of Surgery for the University of Hawai‘i’s John A. Burns School of Medicine, as Professor for the University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center, and as Primary Surgeon of the Liver Transplant Program at The Queen’s Medical Center. She is a member of several prestigious surgical societies including Pacific Coast Surgical Association, Society of University Surgeons, and the American Surgical Association.
